Today is World Water Day 2015

Every year on 22 March the UN celebrates World Water Day. This year’s theme is “Water and Sustainable Development”
 
Learn about the importance of water in every aspect of life.
 
•Health: Clean hands can save lives.
•Nature: Ecosystems lie at the heart of the global water cycle.
•Urbanization: In many growing cities, wastewater infrastructure is inadequate or inexistent.
•Industry: Every manufacured product requires water. The water use is usually inefficient as the goal of the companies is to maximise production.
•Energy: Water is required to generate energy. Energy ir required to deliver water.
•Food: agriculture is the largest user of water, accounting for 70% of total withdrawal.
•Equality: in developing countries, women and girls are often in charge of collecting fresh water.
