African Cities Water Adaptation Platform - ICLEI Africa

African Cities Water Adaptation Platform

The African Cities Water Adaptation Platform (ACWA Platform) is a growing movement of African cities and partners working hand in hand to shape water-secure urban futures across the continent. An offspring of the World Resource Institute’s Urban Water Resilience in Africa Initiative, the Platform includes research institutes and civil society to development agencies, national governments, investors, consultancies, and professional associations. The 25-member coalition brings together the expertise, resources, and ambition needed to build resilient urban water systems across Africa.

Now with a dedicated Secretariat hosted by ICLEI Africa, the ACWA Platform is equipped to drive greater coordination, alignment, and scale across Africa’s urban water resilience landscape.
