Bamako III, Mali 

Commune III occupies the left bank of the Niger in central Bamako and holds much of the capital's administrative and commercial heart, including the Centre Commercial and the Koulouba and Point G heights. Created by ordinance in 1978, it comprises 20 quartiers and is among the densest parts of the city, its markets and central institutions giving the commune an outsized role in the working life of Bamako. Sanitation and responsible waste management are stated municipal priorities, alongside tree-planting campaigns and solar installations at municipal facilities.
