By 2030, KwaDukuza plans to be a vibrant city that can compete economically, socially and politically in the global arena. It is committed to sustainable practices, which is evident in its pledge to reduce carbon emissions in the town by 42% before 2030. Nature enthusiasts particularly enjoy the picturesque landscapes and the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Not only is it naturally beautiful, KwaDukuza also has a rich cultural heritage, and its name translates to “Place of the lost person”.
