Known as the “eastern gateway to the sea”, Mutare is one of Zimbabwe’s bustling hubs that leads travellers all the way to Beira in Mozambique. Nestled in the eastern highlands of the country, Mutare offers a melting pot of culture against the backdrop of lush forests and rolling hills. Not far are the Bvumba Mountains and the Chimanimani Mountains, offering some of the best views in Zimbabwe. The Mutare City Council boasts low crime rates and a reliable, fresh water supply filtered from the Nyangani Mountains.
