Senior Professional Officer: Cities One Health

ICLEI Africa shares the global mandate in the field of Nature and One Health, areas of significant importance for improving sustainability, equity, dignity and wellbeing. We are hiring a dedicated Senior Professional Officer (SPO) in the field to work closely with the Director: Biodiversity, Nature and Health and ICLEI Deputy Secretary General to grow ICLEI’s portfolio of urban nature and one health work, by establishing and building a new global Cities One Health Center. The tasks of this SPO will be to strengthen our relationships with partners and stakeholders in the nature and one health space, including the WHO, UN-Habitat, the private health sector, key NGOs, networks and research organizations; and to increase the value provided to all levels of subnational governments, including cities, in this field.
