Senior Specialist: Coastal Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction

ICLEI Africa is actively seeking an exceptionally skilled candidate to collaborate with us in fostering a supportive framework for enhancing climate resilience in African urban areas, while also leveraging climate finance and market-driven interventions. An essential area of focus for the successful candidate will be to facilitate the establishment of favourable conditions that encourage local governments to engage with the private sector, civil society and the academic community in the planning and delivery of sustainable services that bolster coastal resilience and disaster risk reduction (DRR) in cities.

This position is well-suited for an individual with a robust technical background related to climate change resilience, climate change adaptation, coastal management and DRR.
