This webinar will introduce two CDKN-funded projects: “Building coastal resilience” implemented in Ghana and “Public Private People Partnerships for Climate Compatible Development (4PCCD)” implemented in Mozambique. These two projects offer concrete examples of how to establish successful participatory planning processes and build multi-stakeholder partnerships.

Felix Nyamedor from the CSU-USAID TLMP will give a brief overview of the project in Ghana, introduce the Community-based risk assessment tool used and discuss the impact of the project and its policy implications.

Vanesa Castán Broto, Senior Lecturer at the University College London will then share key outcomes from the 4PCCD project in Mozambique and explain how a participatory planning tool and the establishment of a Climate Planning Committee facilitated the multi-stakeholder collaboration process.

This webinar is part of Resilient Cities Webinar Series 2014 and organized in cooperation with the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN). All webinars all free of charge and feature experts and local government practitioners in the field of urban adaptation and resilience.
