In some African cities, up to 80% of urban air pollution comes from transportation. Traditional systems, reliant on fossil fuels, contribute to environmental degradation and public health crises. Powered by renewable energy like solar and wind, electric vehicles (EVs) offer a transformative solution to urban air pollution to urban air pollution. From e-motorcycles to e-bicycles, Africa is embracing this shift toward a greener future, with benefits like lower operating costs, reduced maintenance, and cleaner air. Scaling up requires smart policies, infrastructure, and local innovation.
