Urban NEXUS Case Study on Dar es Salaam now available!
A case study on the Urban Food-Energy-Water NEXUS pilot project in Kinondoni Municipality of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania has just been published.
It details the planning process, implementation opportunities and reflective lessons from the nine-month pilot project at two local primary schools, Tandale Elimu and Hekima. The project was implemented in close partnership between ICLEI Africa, Kinondoni Municipal Council and Environmental Engineering and Pollution Control Organisation (EEPCO).
This pilot forms part of the global Urban NEXUS project coordinated by ICLEI World Secretariat through the generous support of German Development Cooperation (GIZ). A wealth of case studies from within and beyond the region can be accessed on the Urban NEXUS website.
