Earth Hour City Challenge 2015-2016

After successfully supporting 6 eligible South African cities to take part in the Earth Hour City Challenge 2013-2014, as well as Tanzanian local governments in 2014-2015, ICLEI Africa is extending this year's competition to local governments in Rwanda. Participating cities report their actions, commitments and performance to the carbonn Climate Registry (cCR). Capacity building initiatives and marketing materials are also made available to participating cities in the region to further their sustainability initiatives.

Update Of The 2012 Inventories For Kwadukuza And Steve Tshwete

A revision of the Greenhouse Gas Inventories for model cities Steve Tshwete and KwaDukuza has led to a substantial reduction in both total and per capita emissions originally reported for these cities for 2012.
