Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa, became an ICLEI member in 2011. This port city (the only river port in South Africa) has embarked on a set of impressive commitments for a low carbon future. Already en route to meeting these commitments, we would like to proudly declare this Municipality as our Member of the Month for February 2014.
