Project summary
WaterSOURCE (Sharing Opportunities for Urban Resource Circularity and Equity) falls under the SOURCE programme, which is anchored by the need for shared learning and problem solving between cities and LGAs at intra- and inter- country levels in Africa. The framework of all SOURCE project is composed three elements: knowledge sharing; toolkit development; and implementation.
WaterSOURCE is comprised of all three elements, focusing on advancing water circularity across South African municipalities.
While the knowledge sharing and toolkits is country-wide, the implementation component will take place in the Gauteng City Region as a targetted pilot that addresses non-revenue water loss through rapid response led by community engagement and SME deployment.
