Janvier Twagirimana

Janvier holds a Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering from Stellenbosch University. For the past 12 years, he has been engaged in the implementation of infrastructure projects in Rwanda, specifically related to transport infrastructure and services building, as well as waste management. Janvier has held various positions, dealing with development partners and preparing policies, strategies and guidelines to support development of transport sector in Rwanda. Being passionate about innovation and environmental issues, he has been led different reforms targeting the adoption of green mobility and reduction of harmful emissions from the transport sector. These include vehicle inspection restructuring, public transport improvement studies and business models, promotion of ICT in transport, and supporting the adoption of electric vehicles in Rwanda.
