Tiago Damasceno

Tiago is dedicated to driving socio-economic and environmental change, with a particular focus on the Global South. With over 15 years of experience across three continents, his work has included addressing urban structural violence, rural exodus and sustainable and traditional construction. Holding a Master’s degree in Architecture, Tiago is a strong advocate for urban systems thinking, activism and practical implementation. He is committed to collaboration and building partnerships, primarily with government, communities and technical teams. His curiosity on practices of self-awareness and systems-awareness helps him facilitate the integration of solutions. At ICLEI Tiago contributes to the thinking and implementation of Food and Urban Systems, working closely with partners.
