The Lagos State Government is the cultural and economic heart of the country, and plays a pivotal role in its development. Lagos City is a center of commerce, innovation and creativity, and is one of the busiest cities in Africa. One of the most notable contributions of the Lagos State Government has been its commitment to sustainability in the city. From designing and maintaining drainage infrastructure (particularly in light of flooding), to its efforts in creating a rapid transit system to address traffic issues – the local government is committed to making Lagos a resilient African city.
