In the last quarter of 2013 ICLEI Africa hosted six, three-day inception meetings, one in each of the project local authorities, bringing together technical and political stakeholders with utility representatives and key actors active in the local water and sanitation sector.
The meetings took place as part of the 54 month, European Commission funded project ‘Sustainable Urban Resilient Water for Africa: Developing Local Climate Solutions’, which aims to contribute to sustainable climate change (CC) resilient urban water planning mechanisms and actions while ensuring multiplier effects to the region.
