Below are online tools developed by ICLEI spanning across different sectors to assist local governments in realising solutions for a sustainable future.
ICLEI’s online GHG emissions inventory tool, HEAT+ helps local governments account for GHG emissions, Common Air Pollutants (CAP) and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). The accounting and database capabilities of HEAT+ have helped several local governments make informed decisions in formulating targeted action plans by leveraging measures that offer the highest and most cost-effective impact in emissions and pollutant abatement.
The carbonn Climate Registry (cCR) is the leading global reporting platform of local climate action. It enables cities and Local Governments to demonstrate their power and potential to reduce climate risks and move towards global low-emissions and climate resilient development through the reporting of energy and climate commitments, greenhouse gas emissions as well as mitigation and adaptation actions.
The Resilient Africa Tool aims to help decision-makers in mapping out an adaptation plan based on specific climate variables. It is an inclusive and holistic process that considers relevant stakeholders, identifies affected sectors, analyzes risks, develops adaptation options and SMART goals.
Developed by the ICLEI European Secretariat in the context of the SWITCH project and available via the SWITCH Training Desk, the Kit consists of 6 training modules covering the key aspects of Integrated Urban Water Management in the City of the Future (available in English, Spanish and Portuguese)
